Zelenskyy arrives in UK to attend European Political Community summit, sign new security agreements
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the UK on Thursday to participate in the European Political Community summit and sign new security agreements with partners, he said on his Telegram channel.
"The European states are gathering for the fourth time at the summit of the European Political Community to discuss common themes and challenges. I arrived in the UK to participate in the summit, hold bilateral meetings with partners, and sign new security agreements," the president wrote.
The program of his visit also includes a meeting with His Majesty King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, officials, and heads of UK defense companies.
In addition, according to Zelenskyy, an intergovernmental agreement will be signed to support the Ukrainian military-industrial complex and a conversation will take place with colleagues from the UK regarding future defense cooperation and expanding defense capabilities.
"From the early days of the full-scale invasion, the UK was one step ahead in its decisive support for Ukraine. It is precisely this kind of determination that is needed to stop Russian terror," Zelenskyy noted.
