Zelenskyy on partner approval for striking Russia: Positive signals received

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported positive signals from partners in the direction of obtaining permission to carry out strikes on Russian territory with weapons received as military assistance.

"The process continues," Zelenskyy said at a press conference on Monday in Kyiv, answering the question of what is needed to obtain permission to strike Russia from partners.

Regarding strikes with weapons from partners, he said, this initiative "is still difficult to perceive, although we have begun to receive some positive signals on the use of long-range things: some."

"This also needs to be pushed down, because this is absolutely fair. There is a point from which a rocket or a corresponding bomb flies out, and we understand where it's coming from, and it's unfair that we can't respond to where it came from. This is an absolutely fair answer, to which we have the right," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, previously they did not approve of Ukrainian strikes on Russia, even with Ukrainian-made weapons. "Now this issue is not even being raised – that's not bad," the president said.

The head of state said now "everyone is thinking about how to preserve energy." "The preservation of our energy sector, I'll tell you honestly, partly depends on the fact that we dealt powerful blows to the generating energy facilities of Russia. And now we can talk with partners that we can resolve the issue of energy security. As this has become for everyone critical," Zelenskyy said.
