Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has said that former chief accountant (2012-2014) of state-run enterprise Ukrspyrt suspected of embezzlement was detained.

"Thanks to steps made by the State Fiscal Service and Prosecutor General's Office chief accountant of Ukrspyrt R.Voloschuk (2012-2014) suspected of embezzlement was detained today. Voloschuk in collusion with the Ukrspyrt head sent UAH 750 million to accounts of shell companies that did not supply products," Lutsenko said on Facebook on Saturday.

Voloschuk is also suspected of tax evasion by soliciting of a UAH 175 million tax loan involving what appears to be a fake company.
