Public joint-stock company Ukrgazvydobuvannia in January-April 2016 increased production of natural gas by 0.5%, compared to the same period in 2015, to 4.89 billion cubic meters, the press service of the company has said.

According to its data, gas production in April reached 1.202 billion cubic meters.

Extraction of oil and gas condensate by the company in January-April 2016 amounted to 168,100 tonnes, which is 2.3% less from January-April 2015.

In addition, the company's enterprises in the three months produced 207,000 tonnes of produce, including 58,000 tonnes of liquefied gas, 134,000 tonnes of light oil and 15,000 tonnes of a mixture of light hydrocarbons.

Raw materials processing amounted to 156,442 tonnes.

The amount of operating and exploration drilling in January-April 2016 amounted to 59,138 meters.

According to Ukrgazvydobuvannia Board Chairman Oleh Prokhorenko, the company is doing its best to stop the decline in gas production and boost it.

Bringing of prices to the commercial level would help the company to accelerate the modernization of drilling equipment deteriorated by 80% and to apply modern production stimulation technologies.
