Russian businessman Grigorishin controls about 20 people in Ukrainian Energy Ministry - PM

Russian businessman Konstantin Grigorishin controls about 20 people in the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry of Ukraine, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"He controls about 20 people in the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry, which are his appointees," he said in an interview with Focus magazine on Friday.

In addition, Yatseniuk said that Grigorishin also controls some members of the National Commission on Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER), and Ukrinterenergo, which had its investment program approved by the NCER.

"He used to control Ukrenergo as well," Yatseniuk said.

He stressed that he has no personal conflict with Grigorishin.

Yatseniuk said earlier that the criminal proceedings launched in Switzerland, and which featured head of the Verkhovna Rada committee on energy Mykola Martynenko, had nothing to do with the current government, or the prime minister.
