Deposit Guarantee Fund to provide payments to Ukrainian depositors in Crimea

The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund intends to provide payments to depositors who are Ukrainian citizens and who currently reside in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol.

According to a report on the website of the fund, the procedure of such payments was approved by the fund executive directorate on August 6 and approved by the order dated August 18, 2015.

The report said that in order to receive compensation depositors, in addition to providing their passport and identification number, will be required to present a personal declaration of not being a citizen of the occupant country.

According to the order, the temporary administrator must compose a list of depositors within the guaranteed amount, in view of those living in the temporarily occupied territory.

Liquidators, in turn, should create and submit to the fund a full list of depositors who are eligible for reimbursement from the fund, taking into account the above mentioned depositors.
