Ukrspyrt hopes to reach EBITDA of UAH 100 mln in H1 2015

State enterprise Ukrspyrt hopes to have earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of at least UAH 100 million in January-June 2015.
"We predict now that the company's EBITDA should be at least UAH 100 million for the [first] half of the year. I think that this year we will see the indicator that would be several times more than net profit Ukrspyrt had before. The state monopoly a priori cannot be loss-making," acting director of Ukrspyrt Roman Ivaniuk said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday.
Ukrspyrt plans to publish a report for H1 2015 in a month, he said.
Ivaniuk said that an investigation as part of the criminal case opened in 2014 against the non-payment of taxes of over UAH 200 million and the embezzlement of over UAH 35 million by the previous top managers of the company is underway.
First Deputy Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Serhiy Bilan said that investigators have proof of the funds of the state enterprise being sent to fake companies.
As reported, the previous head of Ukrspyrt Mykhailo Labutin has been placed on the international wanted list.
