Export duty on oil in Russia from July 1 to fall by $1.3 to $143.1 per tonne

The export duty on oil in Russia will fall by $1.3 on July 1, 2015 to $143.1 per tonne, Interfax reported in calculations based on Russian Finance Ministry data.

At present, the export duty on oil is $144.4 per tonne.

Finance Ministry expert Alexander Sakovich told Interfax that the average monitoring price between May 15 and June 14 was $62.167 per barrel, or $453.8 per tonne.

The Russian government is therefore likely to set the duty at $143.1 per tonne.

The discounted duty on Eastern Siberian oil, oil from Caspian Sea deposits and the Prirazlomnoye deposit will again be zero starting on July 1 due to the formula approved in the tax maneuver for the oil industry. This took effect in February, before which the duty had been at $11.9 since January 1. With the new formula and oil prices falling below $65 per barrel, the size of the duty becomes negative and a zero duty should be set, according to legislation.

The duty on highly viscous oil will decline to $18.3 from $18.5.

The duty on light oil products and lubricants will drops to $68.6 per tonne from $69.3 a tonne, and that on dark products to $108.7 from $109.7 per tonne.

The export duty on saleable gasoline will be $111.6 per tonne, down from $112.6 at present, and that on straight-run gasoline - $121.6 a tonne, down from $122.7 a tonne.

The duty on liquefied gas will remain at zero.

The duty on coke will remain at $9.3.
