Managers appointed by Lazorko retain operation control over Ukrtransnafta – official

Managers appointed by Oleksandr Lazorko retain operation control over public joint-stock company Ukrtransnafta, Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Ihor Didenko told reporters.

"I think that [operating control over Ukrtransnafta] is coordinated by the acting head appointed by Lazorko. The person who was appointed by the supervisory board [Yuriy Miroshnyk] has not started fulfilling its duties in full due to internal reasons. Now consultations on optimizing this difficult situation are being held," he said.

As reported, the supervisory council of Ukrtransnafta decided to suspend Lazorko and temporarily appoint Miroshnyk as head of the company on March 19.

Late on March 19 Head of the supervisory board of Ukrtransnafta Oleksandr Savchenko brought a copy of the minutes to Lazorko.

Late on March 20 Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Demchyshyn after negotiations with Ihor Kolomoisky said that he hopes that the situation with the replacement of Ukrtransnafta's board head would be resolved in an amicable way.

Later Kolomoisky reached an agreement on conducting of an audit of Ukrtransnafta with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk. International audit companies will be attracted to the audit.

Ukrtransnafta is Ukraine's oil pipeline operator. Naftogaz Ukrainy holds 100% of its shares.
