Ukrspyrt has partially repaid its debts to the suppliers of raw materials, gas and auxiliary materials, paying them UAH 52.38 million.

"Within a month we have been actively repaying the previously accumulated debts. As a result, in January-February we paid UAH 52.38 million. In particular, we repaid UAH 27.85 million to grain suppliers," the company said.

According to the company, as of January 1, 2015 the enterprise’s debt for production resources was UAH 151.04 million, in particular the debt for grain delivered to distilleries amounted to UAH 71.8 million. At present 34% of the debts have been repaid.

"Despite the difficult economic situation in the country, we did not refuse to pay the debt, but on the contrary we try as soon as possible to extinguish it. We decided to pay debts gradually to all and in equal parts," reads a company press release, with reference to Ukrspyrt Acting Director Roman Ivaniuk.

As reported, Ukrspyrt is managed by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food. Last year, Ukrspyrt plants produced about 15 million decaliters of spirit; the entire volume was sold on the domestic market.
