Cooperation with China will attract much-needed financial resources to the economy of Ukraine, MP from the Regions Party faction Volodymyr Vecherko said while in Beijing as member of the state delegation headed by President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych.

"At the time, when the country needs foreign investment, we need to seek additional ways of cooperation, and not only with neighboring countries. Today Ukraine and China cooperate in various fields, and this cooperation meets the interests of the economic and social development of both sides," the MP's press service said.

According to him, during the visit the parties discussed the prospects of expanding cooperation in the field of construction, industrial production and agriculture.

"In addition, we should remember Ukraine is "a gateway to Europe" for Beijing today, and projects that allow to expand trade cooperation will be beneficial to everybody," said Vecherko.
