Any negotiation formats with Russia impossible – Podoliak on changes in Russian leadership

Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the President's of Ukraine, believes that the latest reshuffles in the Russian leadership indicate the country's final transition to military "communism" (total militarization of the economy and restructuring of army supply systems) to provide resources for the "endless war."

“Redistribution of functional influence between traditional clans. A sharp reduction in the number of influential members of the informal Politburo 2.0 around Putin ... Solving the eternal task of curbing army corruption (deposing Shoigu's group) ... Gradual squeezing of the 'palace ambitions’ of the Patrushev group to the periphery (which, by the way, directly indicates the growth of distrust within Putin's vertical),” he said on the Telegram channel Monday.

“Conclusion: Russia is finally isolating itself and will try to scale up the war, expand its formats, while reconfiguring the economy to function in acute/deficit formats that are somehow capable of providing a sharp increase in the military component. In any case, there is no way that Russia will return to adequate participation in global processes, and therefore any negotiation formats are impossible ...,” Podoliak said.
