Popșoi: We're ready to give new impetus to fruitful cooperation between Moldova, Ukraine and Romania
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi, announced his readiness to give new dynamics to the fruitful interaction of the trilateral format between Moldova, Ukraine and Romania.
"We are ready to give new impetus to the fruitful cooperation of the trilateral format between Moldova, Ukraine and Romania. And in this context, we discussed aspects related to beneficial cooperation between our three states to ensure the rights and freedoms of citizens of both countries," Popșoi said at a joint press conference with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba in Kyiv.
In turn, Kuleba also noted that "we will develop cooperation in the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania triangle."
"We discussed specific measures and steps on this track. One of the topics of our interaction will be the development of trade, infrastructure, security cooperation and the fight against Russian disinformation," he said.
Popșoi noted the significant progress made by Moldova and Ukraine in the field of European integration and the decision to intensify the exchange of information on best practices in this area.
"We believe that we are fully ready for the real start of negotiations on EU membership in the near future," he said.
In turn, Minister Kuleba welcomed the completion by the European Commission of the development of proposals on the draft negotiating framework with Ukraine and Moldova.
"We have coordinated our next steps so that the decision to approve the negotiating framework and the actual start of negotiations take place on schedule," he added.
