Air force trying to hit Russian planes at distance of more than 150 km – Oleschuk
The missile forces of the Air Force carried out combat use on Russian aircraft more than 150 km away, the results of the strike are being checked, Air Force Commander Mykola Oleschuk said.
"Almost every day, crews of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force hunt Russian fighters. Just yesterday, there was a combat use against enemy aircraft at a distance of more than 150 km. We are still working today! We are checking the result of combat work," he wrote on the Telegram channel on Friday.
According to Oleschuk, after significant losses - the A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft, as well as Su-34 and Su-35 fighters - the occupiers significantly reduced the number of strikes by smart bombs, and there are still no AEW aircraft in the Sea of Azov.
He also said that "discussions" had begun among Russian pilots regarding the decision of the command to send them "one way," which could lead to sabotage.
