Commander of the Ground Forces, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, took part in the XVI Ukraine-USA Security Dialogue on the assessment of Ukraine's defense capabilities and needs after the second year of the war, which was held in Washington. He announced this on the Telegram channel on Thursday evening.

According to him, the thematic part devoted, in particular, to the issues of the Ground Forces, "took place with the participation of respected military specialists and analysts from leading security institutions. Among them are William Taylor, Vice President for Europe and Russia at the U.S. Institute of Peace, Ben Hodges, Commander of the U.S. Army in Europe 2014-2017, Luke Coffey, Senior NATO Logistics Mentor and Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute."

Pavliuk informed that during a conversation with the participants of the Dialogue, he "outlined the basic needs that the Ground Forces have to conduct combat operations against a superior enemy. In particular, on certain types of weapons, military equipment and the possibilities of strengthening army aviation."

At the same time, he expressed gratitude to the people of the United States for their assistance to Ukraine and stressed its importance in repelling Russia's full-scale armed aggression.

"I assured the participants that only continued support for Ukraine, our Armed Forces and the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will fully restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine within internationally recognized borders and reduce Russia's ability to spread its aggression to other countries," Pavliuk stressed.
