Every pause in weapon supplies to Ukraine raises doubts about world's readiness to defend itself – Zelenskyy

Any pause in the weapon supplies to Ukraine inspires one person who thinks he can "put the squeeze" on Europe and the West, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said at a press conference in Tirana, Albania.

"We must do the utmost to ensure that there is no delay in the supply of weapons for our soldiers. Every pause in supplies raises doubts about the world's readiness to defend itself. All this inspires one man. And the more he sees our deficits, weapons shortages, the more he thinks he can put the squeeze on Europe and the West," he said on Wednesday.

According to him, "based on the results of the meetings, based on the results of this summit, we have specific agreements, in particular, regarding the strengthening of Ukraine and Ukrainian artillery."

"I am grateful to my colleagues for their willingness to work now and work together. This is protection, this is jobs, economic growth," the president said.

According to him, "the partnership between Ukraine and the Balkan states, and the entire region of Southeastern Europe, will be continued by the participation of partners in the first global peace summit, which we are preparing in Switzerland. We can make this summit and all the work on the Peace Formula effective."

"War is always started by someone alone, but peace is a joint work. All those who respect the rules, all those who respect other nations, all those who truly value life and peace, is greater than any aggressor," Zelenskyy said.
