Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba met with UN Secretary General António Guterres.

"During our meeting today, I thanked UN Secretary General António Guterres for the UN's participation in the Peace Formula discussions and emphasized the importance of continued efforts to advance peace for Ukraine. We also talked about ways to broaden the geography of support for the Peace Formula as we prepare for the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland," Kuleba said on X.

The parties also discussed resolving issues of violence committed by Russians against Ukrainian civilians and the release of prisoners.

"I also emphasized the urgent need to use all available instruments, and, if necessary, develop new ones, to address the issue of sexual violence perpetrated by Russian troops in Ukraine, as well as the release of civilian detainees held in Russian captivity. The Secretary General assured me that he will follow up on this matter," Kuleba said.

On February 23, Kuleba will make a working visit to the UN headquarters in New York. The head of Ukrainian diplomacy took part in the debates of the UN General Assembly on the situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
