The most important need of the Ukrainian Defense Forces remains artillery systems and ammunition, said Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with CNN.

"Their number is one of the key factors in the war against terrorist Russia. In unmanned systems, the Russians and we are more or less equal, speaking about the trend towards an increasingly large-scale use of different types of UAVs at the front," Budanov added.

In addition, he said, A-10 attack aircraft could significantly strengthen Ukraine at the forefront.

"Although in America from time to time there is discussion about their decommissioning and replacement with newer sides. A-10 attack aircraft have a reputation for being effective in the fight against armored vehicles, obtained, in particular, during the war in the Persian Gulf. They can really help inflict a military defeat on Russia," the head of GUR stressed.

He pointed out that there are now more than half a million Russian occupiers in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

"However, in the short term, the current potential of the enemy is unlikely to allow advance on the front line," Budanov believes.
