Zelenskyy, Macron agree to begin preparations for French President's visit to Ukraine

Presidents of Ukraine and France, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron, instructed their advisers to begin preparing for the visit of the French President to Ukraine, Zelenskyy wrote on the Telegram channel on Thursday.

“We directed our political and military advisors to prepare for President Macron's visit to Ukraine and to expedite negotiations on the bilateral agreement on security guarantees following the G7 Vilnius Declaration,” he also said.

I spoke with Emmanuel Macron to thank France for launching the artillery collation for Ukraine and committing to produce dozens of Caesars and ammunition for them in 2024,” Zelenskyy noted.

According to him, “we discussed in detail the battlefield situation, Ukraine's priority defense needs, including items for France's next military aid package, and the need to further strengthen Ukraine's air defense.”

"I am grateful for the active assistance of the French business, which invests and is ready to increase investments in Ukraine, despite the war. I briefed about the beginning of preparations for the Global Peace Summit. It is important to involve a wide range of countries to participate in it," Zelenskyy also wrote.
