Man killed, woman, two-month-old child injured in occupiers' shelling of car in Kherson suburbs – Klymenko

On Monday afternoon, the invaders fired artillery at a car in the suburbs of Kherson: a 64-year-old man who was driving the car was killed, a 36-year-old woman and her two-month-old child were injured, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has said.

"To the sound of a special signal, juvenile police rush to Kherson hospital. In their arms is a two-month-old child. At noon, Russians in the suburbs of Kherson fired artillery at a car in which the girl and her relatives were returning from a medical examination," the minister said on the Telegram channel on Monday.

He said that as a result of shelling the car caught fire. "The 36-year-old mother is in serious condition in the hospital. The person who was driving died. This is probably the child's 64-year-old grandfather. An examination will establish the identity, since the body was burned almost to ashes," the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

According to him, the girl was previously diagnosed with a mine-explosive wound to the head. "The condition is moderate. Doctors are providing the necessary assistance and are fighting for her mother's life," Klymenko said.
