The enemy does not spare artillery and mortars in the Bakhmut and Lyman-Kupiansk directions, as can be seen from the large number of shellings over the past 24 hours, Volodymyr Fito, head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, has said.

"We must remember that we are not fighting an army of some homeless people or something else: this is a well-equipped army. And they store a large amount of ammunition in their warehouses. Perhaps they do not shoot so accurately, but you see the number of shots - 428 and 431 (in the Bakhmut and Kupiansk directions, respectively). This is a large number. That is, they do not spare artillery and mortars," Fito said during a telethon on Friday.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces noted that Ukrainian forces inflict losses on the enemy due to accuracy. In particular, over the past two days, the soldiers destroyed about 15 guns of different types of enemy.

Fito emphasized that the Kupiansk direction remains active, the Russians do not stop active operations there. The Bakhmut direction also "revitalized," as the speaker noted, where the enemy moved from defense to active defense, attacking south of Bakhmut.

"Some 116 servicemen of the Russian army in the Bakhmut direction were destroyed. In Lyman-Kupiansk, 144 enemy soldiers will never return home," he said.
