Kharkiv Transport Equipment Plant owned by family of ex-Deputy Minister Nemilostyvy wants to buy over 42% of shares of Research Institute of Aviation Technologies

Private Joint Stock Company Kharkiv Transport Equipment Plant LLC, whose main specialization is the production of military transport, intends to acquire 42.06333% of the shares of JSC Ukrainian Research Institute of Aviation Technologies (Kyiv), more than 50% of the shares of which are owned by the former state concern Ukroboronprom.

According to a report published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, Kharkiv Transport Equipment Plant, which does not own shares of Ukrainian Research Institute of Aviation Technologies, intends to purchase 44,140 of its shares.

According to the opendatabot resource, the final beneficiaries of Kharkiv Transport Equipment Plant are Vitaliy and Yevhen Nemilostyvy (50% each). Vitaliy Nemilostyvy is former Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries (August 2020 - January 2021), ex-Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy, MP (2012-2014).

The main specialization of Ukrainian Research Institute of Aviation Technologies is the development of software, forecasting and analytical materials and regulatory documentation in the field of aircraft construction, technological design of aircraft and aircraft manufacturing enterprises.

According to the National Securities Market Commission as of the second quarter of 2023, in addition to Ukroboronprom, the Kryvov family is among the major shareholders of the research institute: Heorhiy Kryvov (19.0591%), Liudmyla Kryvova (8.6852%) and Svitlana Kryvova (8.9501% of shares).

Until the end of 2022, Heorhiy Kryvov held the position of the board chairman - director general of Ukrainian Research Institute of Aviation Technologies, but resigned by agreement of the parties on the basis of an application for early termination of the contract.
