Presidents of Ukraine, Romania to meet in Bucharest on Tuesday

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Romania on Tuesday, October 10. According to the press service of Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, the leaders of the countries will hold a meeting at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest.

"This visit confirms Romania's continued unconditional support for Ukraine in the context of Russia's illegal war against this country, as well as the special nature of bilateral relations between Romania and Ukraine, their potential and the need to discuss projects and issues of mutual interest at the highest level," the message states.

It is expected that as part of the political consultations between the presidents, the measures taken and implemented by Romania in support of Ukraine will be analyzed with a view to strengthening them, as well as the security situation in the region and the Black Sea and the necessary steps to regulate it.

In addition, the parties will focus on constructive and pragmatic approaches in priority areas of bilateral cooperation and common interests, in particular, the expansion of cross-border ties, the development of economic relations, European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, as well as full respect for the rights of persons belonging to national minorities.
