It is of fundamental importance for the military-political leadership of Ukraine that China join the peace talks, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak said.

"Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak announced the possibility of a telephone conversation with Xi Jinping. Why do we think this is important? Because China is still a big powerful country that has a lot of weight in the world today. They can somehow communicate, among other things, with the Russian Federation so that they can be heard. And today, in general, few people can communicate with the Russian Federation so that they can be heard," Podoliak said in an interview with Novoye Vremya.

He said that it is fundamentally important for the military-political leadership of Ukraine today that China join the negotiations.

"Moreover, China clearly understands the current state of global politics and can quite effectively identify all the risks that exist today in this war for the region as a whole, including for the Russian Federation," Podoliak said.

At present, according to him, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, is organizing these important interstate communications.

At the same time, he noted, "only one country, Ukraine, will put the final point in Russia's war."

"The whole country will stand up for freedom to the end. We have hopes, first of all, for Ukraine. And I think that 90% of everything that we will get in the final will be only Ukraine. When we finalize this war, and we definitely finalize it with the victory of Ukraine, it will be 90% of Ukraine. The remaining 10% is the help of partners," the adviser to the head of the President's Office said.
