As a result of enemy shelling on Wednesday morning, a collapse occurred in a residential building in Shevchenkivsky district of Kyiv. Previously, two people were injured, 35 residents were evacuated, the State Emergency Service of Kyiv reported.

As the press service of the department reports on the Facebook page on Wednesday, March 16 at 06:16, the Rescue Service 101 received a message about a collapse in a residential building in Shevchenkivsky district of the capital.

Firefighters from the nearest fire and rescue units arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, it was established that as a result of the shell fragments hitting a 12-storey residential building, the house collapsed on the 12th and technical floors, and the neighboring nine-storey building was also partially damaged.

"According to preliminary information, two people were injured, 35 people were evacuated," the ministry said.

It is noted that rescuers immediately began to evacuate residents from the building and eliminate individual fires.

A total of eight units of basic and special fire and rescue equipment, as well as 35 personnel are involved at the site.
