The number of Ukrainians supporting accession to NATO has slightly decreased over two weeks, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Rating sociological group.

"Support for Ukraine's accession to NATO over the past two weeks has declined slightly from a record 76% to 72%," the poll report released on Tuesday reads.

It is noted that the main reason for the reduction is the lack of a decision to close the sky over Ukraine, which is supported by almost 90% of Ukrainians.

At the same time, half of the Ukrainians surveyed assess the likelihood that Russia will carry out a military attack on one of the European countries as high (25%) or medium (26%). Only 22% generally reject such a possibility - primarily older people.

The survey was conducted on March 12-13, 2022 among the population of Ukraine aged 18 years and older in all regions, except for the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. The sample is representative in terms of age, gender, and type of settlement. Sample population: 1,200 respondents. Survey method: CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews - telephone interviews using a computer). The study's margin of error does not exceed 2.8%.
