Polish Senate urges EU member states to support Ukraine's integration into EU – resolution

The Polish Senate supported a resolution on Ukraine's European aspirations and called on all member states of the European Union to support Ukraine's integration into the EU in solidarity, the website of the Ukrainian parliament reported on Wednesday.

"Ukrainian society has undoubtedly proved that it is ready to be part of united Europe and is ready to pay with blood for devotion to European values. Ukrainian soldiers, protecting the borders of their country, defend entire Europe," the document says.

The parliament's website also reports that the Polish Senate also spoke out against the brutal methods of the Russian Federation, which it uses in the war against the Ukrainian people.

"The barbaric methods of carrying it out – the killing of civilians, including children, the destruction of schools, hospitals, churches and cultural values – dishonor the Russian state and its armed forces," the Polish senators say.

Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk thanked the Polish Senate for their support.

"Sincere thanks for the devoted support of Ukraine and our European integration aspirations to Marshal of the Senate Mr. Tomasz Grodzki and all the senators of the Republic of Poland!" the Verkhovna Rada website cited Kondratiuk.
