Humanitarian corridor from Sumy to Poltava launched - head of Poltava regional administration

Acting Head of Poltava Regional State Administration Dmytro Lunin announced the start of work of a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of residents of Sumy to Poltava.

"People will be taken to Poltava through Lokhvytsia and Lubny. This route has been agreed by the Ukrainian and Russian sides. From 09:00 to 21:00 Kyiv time, the ceasefire has begun. Ukraine observes it," Lunin wrote on Telegram.

According to him, several dozen buses have already left Lokhvytsia to pick up people, they will be accompanied by representatives of the Red Cross and doctors.

"Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk, the Poltava and Sumy regional military administrations control the process. Logistics is built. We will accept people, feed them. We will evacuate civilians, including foreign students. We will continue to move further to the west of the country. Through this humanitarian corridor to Sumy humanitarian aid will also arrive: food and medicine," Lunin said.
