The situation in a number of cities in Sumy region, primarily in Okhtyrka and Trostianets, as well as in Mariupol, is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster, Vadym Denysenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs, has said.

"A very difficult situation is in a number of cities in the Sumy region, primarily Okhtyrka and Trostianets. These are cities in which there is actually no electricity, no water supply. In reality, the cities are simply on the verge of a humanitarian disaster. In Trostianets, the Russians simply robbed all the shops. It is only thanks to the efforts of a few local people that bread is baked and distributed free of charge to people. If we talk about Mariupol, then a rather difficult situation continues there. Yesterday it was not possible to make any humanitarian corridors and the situation, of course, is on the verge of a humanitarian disaster," Denysenko said on Ukraine-24 TV channel on Sunday morning.

In general, according to him, the night passed relatively calmly within the border, as in Kyiv. At the same time, he said that a huge armada of Russian equipment is standing on the outskirts of Kyiv, and the situation in Irpen, Bucha and Hostomel is extremely difficult.

In addition, he said that the Russian invaders tried to make a breakthrough in the Balakliya area towards Dnipropetrovsk region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine defeated a column of enemy equipment, as well as in Sumy region.
