As of March 3, more than 160 educational institutions have been completely or partially destroyed in Ukraine as a result of Russian military aggression, Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said.

"Every day the aggressor inflicts crushing and cruel blows in our country. It destroys kindergartens and schools, colleges and universities, roads, factories, and most importantly, it destroys our people. Every day, the Russian enemy openly and repeatedly delivers missile, bomb, artillery strikes against peaceful cities and civilian facilities. To date, more than 160 educational institutions have been completely or partially destroyed," Shkarlet wrote on the Telegram channel.

The minister also thanked the education staff for showing incredible patriotism, solidarity and power in the most difficult time for the country.

"In each region, educational institutions have organized places for IDPs, fighters are provided with food, powerful humanitarian headquarters have been created in certain regions and the necessary assistance is being provided. You are the pride of the Ukrainian people," Shkarlet said.
