Germany will supply 5,000 helmets to Ukraine, the German Defense Ministry has said.

"Minister [Christine] Lambrecht today informed the Defense Committee in the German Bundestag about her plans in the legislature. She also made it clear that Germany is closely on the side of Ukraine. We will deliver 5,000 helmets to Ukraine, the equipment that is needed," the ministry said in a statement released on Twitter on Wednesday.
