Court in 'Sheremet case:' Antonenko remains in custody, Kuzmenko under house arrest, Duhar under obligations

Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure for three accused of the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet for another two months, until May 21: Andriy Antonenko remains in custody, Yulia Kuzmenko is under house arrest, and the measure of restraint continues to be applied to Yana Duhar in the form of personal obligations.

The court made the relevant decision on Tuesday, thus sustaining the petition of the prosecution to extend the preventive measure for the defendants in the case. The defense asked to change the measure of restraint for Antonenko and Kuzmenko to bail, but the court did not sustain these requests.

According to the law, an appeal can be filed against the court's ruling to extend the preventive measure in the form of Antonenko's detention.

The next hearing on the merits of the charge will take place on March 30 at 14:00, according to the previously approved schedule.
