Russia-occupation forces in Donbas violate ceasefire four times over past day, Ukrainian soldier wounded – JFO HQ

Over the past day, Russia-occupation forces in Donbas violated the ceasefire regime four times, one Ukrainian soldier was wounded by a gunshot, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters said.

"Over the past day, on February 7, four violations of the ceasefire regime were recorded in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. In the area of responsibility of the Skhid [East] task force, near Novomykhailivka, Russia-occupation forces fired at the positions of the Ukrainian defenders from heavy anti-tank grenade launchers and aimed a shot from a sniper weapon. As a result, a serviceman of the Joint Forces had been shot. The soldier was promptly taken to a hospital, where he was provided with proper medical care," the JFO headquarters said on the official Facebook page on Monday morning.

The JFO headquarters said that in the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) task force, near the settlements of Zolote-4 and Luhanske, Russian troops opened fire from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, as well as from small arms.

The OSCE representatives were notified of the facts of ceasefire violation through the Ukrainian side in the JCCC.

"Since the beginning of this day, on February 8, the situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation has been controlled by Ukrainian soldiers, and violations by the armed formations of the Russian Federation have not been recorded," the JFO headquarters said.
