Ukraine registers 12,498 new COVID-19 cases per day – Stepanov
As of Tuesday morning, some 12,498 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, some 10,023 people recovered and 221 patients died, Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov has said.
"Some 12,498 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine as of December 1, 2020. In particular, 586 children and 646 medical workers fell ill. Some 1,470 people were hospitalized, some 221 people died and 10,023 people recovered over the past day," Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning. The day before, on November 30, some 9,946 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine; there were 12,978 cases of the disease on the day before, on November 29; some 16,294 new cases of infection on November 28; some 16,218 cases on November 27. The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 745,123 people, while 12,548 people died from COVID-19, some 355,172 people recovered. Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv city (1,799), Odesa (889), Dnipropetrovsk (870), Kyiv (841) and Lviv (813) regions.
