Ukraine sees record high of 15,331 COVID-19 cases per day – Stepanov
As of Thursday morning, a new record number of 15,331 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease was recorded in Ukraine, some 9,617 people recovered, some 225 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov has said.
"Some 15,331 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine as of November 26, 2020. In particular, 659 children and 606 medical workers fell ill. Over the past day, some 1,955 people were hospitalized, some 225 people died, some 9,617 people recovered," Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
A day earlier, on November 25, some 13,882 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine; there were 13,882 new cases on November 24; record number of 10,945 cases on November 23 and some 12,073 new cases of the virus on November 22.
The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic was 677,189 people, 11,717 people died from COVID-19, some 317,395 people recovered as of Thursday morning.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv city (1,399), Dnipropetrovsk (1,254), Kyiv (979), Zaporizhia (898) and Kharkiv (895) regions.
