More proposals for presidential inauguration date appear in parliament, for May 17 and May 26
Member of Parliament Vitaliy Kupriy (non-aligned) has proposed swearing in Ukraine's new president on May 26, while MP Volodymyr Kurennoy (Bloc of Petro Poroshenko) has proposed holding the ceremony on May 17.
According to the parliament's website, Kupriy earlier filed a draft resolution for conducting the inauguration on May 20, and on Monday registered a new measure for holding the swearing-in ceremony on May 26.
In turn, Kurennoy on Tuesday proposed a resolution on conducting the inauguration on May 17.
MPs have registered a total of seven draft resolutions for holding the inauguration, one of which has been withdrawn.
