Former Finance Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk s ready to join the team of President Volodymyr Zelensky if he wins the presidential race.

"I ran high-ranking posts. I do not need another line in my curriculum vitae. I have what to do in my life. Everything will depend on what team will be. I would join the strong team of like-minded persons with pleasure. Our level of trust with Volodymyr Zelensky allows this, but I should understand that there will be this kind of team," Danyliuk told Interfax-Ukraine on Sunday.

He said that he would like to see an opportunity to devote time to reforming the country in the next four or five years.

"I am sure that Volodymyr also wants to convert all the level of trust that voters have into real changes, and that skeptics understand that these treason-victory traditional approaches do not work," Danyliuk said.

Asked whether he is ready to support Zelensky at the parliamentary elections, in case of losing the presidential elections, the ex-minister said: "I do not close any options."

Speaking about the lack of political experience of the candidate, as well as the experience of negotiating with international partners, Danyliuk said: "At the initial stage, this is a factor. We need to work with this factor. If there is a strong foreign policy team, I do not see any problems."

According to him, the factor of confidence from international partners is also important.

"They do not trust the current government, because much of what they promised did not really happen. The success of the negotiations depends on several factors: experience, of course, understanding the context, this can be compensated for by a serious team, and a general attitude. There is no mistrust," he said.
