Presiden't rep Iryna Lutsenko rules out Poroshenko-Putin bilateral meeting in Paris on Nov 11

Representative of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the Verkhovna Rada, Iryna Lutsenko, rules out the possibility of face to face meeting between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Paris (France) on November 11.

"There will be different meetings, but one meeting is impossible — in Poroshenko-Putin one to one format. Knowing how Putin distorts this whole situation - nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine, this will not happen. There may be a multilateral meeting with witnesses in Normandy format, the countries of the Budapest Memorandum, but one-on-one meetings with Putin cannot take place," Lutsenko said on the Inter TV channel on Friday evening.

She stressed that only "transparent conversation, only in the presence of witnesses and "only with serious arguments."

As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko received an invitation from his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to visit Paris on the occasion of the end of the World War I. The events will be held on November 10-11.

Putin is expected to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump at these events.
