The Verkhovna Rada has strengthened the social protection of certain categories of victims of Nazi persecutions: some 243 MPs voted at a meeting on Tuesday for Law No. 3815-d on amending certain laws of Ukraine on strengthening the social protection of certain categories of persons from among the victims of Nazi persecutions and political repressions.

The document, in particular, gives the right to free travel not only in the city transport, but also in buses of suburban and interurban intraregional routes at the place of residence, railway and water transport of the suburban communication, provided that there is the certificate of the established model. In case of the introduction of the automated system of accounting of payment travel, this category of people will be also provided with the free e-ticket.

The bill also provides that victims of political repressions and Nazi persecutions can use the railway, sea and river transport, except suburban one, and intraregional bus and air transport, or once a year they can use the same transport in both directions with 50% discount.
