Deficit of national budget in seven months estimated at UAH 13.4 bln

The deficit of Ukraine's national budget in January-July 2018 amounted to UAH 13.4 billion, while it saw UAH 27 billion in surplus in the same period last year, the State Treasury Service has reported.

The budget's general fund in the seven months of this year saw UAH 16 billion in deficit, whereas the deficit of the budget's general fund in the same period last year was UAH 3.1 billion.

The State Treasury says borrowings of the general fund in the seven months of 2018 amounted to UAH 94 billion of the planned UAH 150 billion, while repayments stood at UAH 121 billion with planned targets of UAH 122 billion.

Privatization receipts in January-July this year totaled UAH 49.9 million while the plan was set at UAH 4.6 billion, according to the State Treasury.

Corporate profit tax payments to the budget amounted to UAH 54 billion with the target fixed at UAH 43.2 billion.

As was reported, the revenue of the 2018 national budget is planned at UAH 917.9 billion, while spending at UAH 991.7 billion, the deficit is capped at UAH 80.6 billion, or 2.4% of GDP.

In the first half of 2018, revenue totaled UAH 449.01 billion, spending was UAH 458.97 billion.
