German Chancellor Angela Merkel will pay a visit to Ukraine in early November this year, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said.

"This fall, at the beginning of November, German Chancellor Angela Merkel will pay a visit to Ukraine, which is a very clear indication of the special attention of our German partners and the development of partnership with Kyiv," Poroshenko said at a meeting with heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine in Kyiv on Tuesday, speaking about the development of the Minsk negotiating process and the need to introduce a UN peacekeeping mission to Donbas.
