Lutsenko, Hrytsak to Western diplomats: Special operation on Babchenko allowed to receive information on other potential victims

 Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak have met in Kyiv with the heads of diplomatic missions of the representatives of the G7, the EU, Norway, Australia, EC and the Council of Europe on the May 29 successful law enforcement special operation to prevent the murder of a journalist Arkady Babchenko.

"During the meeting, it was informed about the key aspects of the work carried out and the goals set in the decision to monitor the crime in the form of an imitation of the crime situation. It was emphasized that the chosen strategy allowed not only to prevent the death of a journalist, suppress the crime, fully document the criminal actions of the organizer, obtain evidence of his connection with the mastermind of the crime, but also to obtain information about possible potential victims, against whom terrorist acts and murders were likely to be prepared," the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
