The Ministers for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Hungary, Pavlo Klimkin and Peter Szijjarto, plan to hold consultations with the Hungarian community in Ukraine in the middle of June.

"We will meet, perhaps in Kyiv, perhaps in Budapest, but most likely everyone prefers the town of Berehove [Zakarpattia region]. [There will be] two foreign ministers, two education ministers and representatives of the Hungarian community to finally find a solution that will work for our citizens of Hungarian origin ... We will meet, most likely, in the middle of June or a bit later," Klimkin told reporters in New York City on Tuesday following a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart.

The minister added that a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with representatives of the Hungarian national minority will be held on June 5.

The Hungarian side will facilitate these consultations so that they will be effective, the minister said.
