Klympush-Tsintsadze expects Ukraine to get EU tranche in early autumn

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze expects Ukraine to receive the first tranche of macro-financial assistance from the European Union in early autumn this year.

"As far as I understand, the discussion in the European Parliament on this issue should be completed in June. After that, I think, the EU Council will support this decision finally, and we can then expect the decision to be made in the middle of summer. I hope this means that at the beginning of autumn we will receive this first tranche of macro-financial assistance," she said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine on the sidelines of the 11th Kyiv Security Forum.

At the same time, she noted that Ukraine should understand that there are a number of conditions that it must continue to meet.

"I am sure that we will see a marker [the requirement] that concerns an analysis of e-declarations, since it is very difficult to process qualitatively and quickly the array of declarations that are currently stored in the NACP system," Klympush-Tsintsadze added.

In addition, she noted that Ukraine had already fulfilled a number of conditions, in particular, the adoption of the law on the credit register.

"I think that we are in a good condition to have a positive decision," she said.
