Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Oleksiy Honcharenko has said suspects involved in the attack on him are being exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers held in captivity in occupied Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"Persons involved in separatist and terrorists cases in Odesa located currently a pretrial facilities are being exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers, who were taken prisoners by Russian occupation forces. In the list of 'Kremlin agents' are 'Russian Orthodox' Kazakh Vytaliy Nazlymov and Opposition Bloc Deputy Oleksandr Kushnariov. The former in 2015 planned a military insurrection and my assassination, and the latter this year attempted to kidnap me," Honcharenko said on his Facebook page, adding that he supports the move, but still wants the exchanged prisoners to be punished.
