Ukrainian-U.S. Rapid Trident 2017 drills completed in Lviv region

The Ukrainian-American military exercises Rapid Trident 2017 have finished at the training grounds of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security of the National Academy of Land Forces in Lviv region on Friday.

Each of the participants of the multinational maneuvers received personal certificates, the website of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.

About 2,500 servicemen from 15 countries took part in this year's exercises.

Apart from Ukrainian military, servicemen from the United States, Canada, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Turkey and the United Kingdom were involved in the drills.

The objective of the Rapid Trident exercise is to introduce best practices of the leading armies of the world in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, exchange professional skills, improve the level of interaction between the headquarters and the units of the land forces of Ukraine, the United States, the armies of NATO member countries and partners of the Partnership for Peace program.
