Novinsky says he has no intentions to leave Ukraine

People's deputy from the Opposition Bloc faction Vadym Novinsky has said that he still does not intend to flee Ukraine.

"Where shall I hide, if or when I hide, it will immediately mean I am guilty. They deliberately have been preparing me for this for six months by different psychological attacks, searches, statements by senior officials to make me leave the country, so that they were able to easily frame me and take an appropriate decision in the court," Novinsky told journalists in Kyiv on Thursday.

He said that he will not provide opportunities for speculation.

The MP also said he did not want to predict the voting in the parliament, whether it would strip him of his parliamentary immunity. Novinsky has said the case against him is politicized and he is convinced that "the truth is on his side."

As previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday will consider the motion of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko for his consent to strip Novinsky's parliamentary immunity from prosecution.
