Ukrainian side ready for serious compromises to free 107 captives, demands their immediate release
Ukraine is ready to make serious compromises for the purpose of an immediate release of its captive citizens, Darka Olifer, spokesperson for the Ukrainian representative to the Trilateral Contact Group and the second Ukrainian President, Leonid Kuchma, said.
"We continue working on the hostages' release. Ukraine is ready to make serious compromises for 107 people being able to return to their loved ones. We demand the immediate release of the citizens and stand against the blackmail regarding this issue, the amnesty will relate to another provision of the Minsk Agreements and the decision on it is not linked to the release of people in any way," she wrote on Facebook following the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group.
Moreover, the Ukrainian side demanded once again to allow the access of the international humanitarian organizations to the individuals illegally held in the Donbas region uncontrolled by Ukraine.
