Kyiv ready to offer NATO air transport cooperation without Russia

Ukraine's proposals to NATO include cooperation on strategic air transport without Russia's participation, and on intelligence, Yehor Bozhok, acting head of Ukraine's mission to NATO, said.

Until recently Ukraine provided strategic air transport services to NATO countries under a joint project with Russia, Bozhok said. "The leadership of our state decided to refuse from cooperating with Russia in this sphere. We are negotiating a new Ukraine-NATO project," he said in an interview published in the Evropeiska Pravda (European Truth) newspaper on Thursday.

Ukraine could also be useful to NATO in the sphere of intelligence and surveillance, "we can share the information we have," the acting head of the mission said.

"We can offer our capabilities and resources for conducting joint drills and training. For example, the Yavoriv test and training range is already a certified NATO training center. The number and scale of drills and training on this range will increase," Bozhok said.
