Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko has accepted the invitation of his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor to make an official visit to Slovenia at the beginning of next year.

"I've accepted the invitation of Mr. President to visit Ljubljana at the beginning of next year. We will have a broad agenda. In particular, we will discuss the issue of the abolition of fees for national visas for Ukrainians who travel to study in Slovenia," Poroshenko told journalists in Lviv after the talks with Pahor.

For his part, the president of Slovenia noted that the relations between the two countries were good, and said that the EU should support Ukraine as it was in the interest of the European Union.

Pahor also stressed that it was time to implement individual clauses of the Minsk agreement to "normalize relations in this part of Europe, as it is important to pre-empt crises in other parts of Europe."
